Shirley Burke

Mrs. Shirley Burke, age 81 passed away January 1, 2019 in Hope. Mrs. Burke was born on August 6, 1937, in Hope, Arkansas, to Ben B. and Marie Reid McBay. Mrs. Burke was a proud and strong spirited wife, mother and sister. She was devoted and faithful wife for 57 years to Billy J. Burke until his death. She loved, encouraged and supported her three daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was member of Calvary Baptist Church, active member of the VFW ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed many outdoor pursuits and was a retired medical clerk for Dr. Lowell Harris, Dr. Lynn Harris and Dr. Dale Goins. Mrs. Burke is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years Billy John Burke, brother Gary McBay and sister Emily DeVenney.
Survivors include; three daughters, Tish Rhodes, husband Mark of Nashville, Arkansas, Tami Blair, husband Kirk, Tara Flowers, husband John May both of Texarkana, Arkansas, two brothers, Billy Ray McBay, wife Sandra of Spring Hill, Arkansas, Randy McBay, wife Donna of Hope, Arkansas, sister Sherry Wylie, husband Steve also of Hope, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, Andrea Woodruff, husband Kris, Tyler Pope, wife Samantha, Julie Linhoff, husband Yale, Zane Rhodes, Codi, Daniel, William and Michael Blair, Burke Flowers, Braden May, Caroline May, six great grandchildren, Killis Reid Woodruff, Gracelyn Woodruff, Ryder Pope, Kase Pope, Leah Kay Linhoff, Kade Linhoff and numerous family members and a host of friends.
