A Nashville woman was transported to the hospital after a crash between her car and a SUV on Highway 29 S Monday evening.
According to a witness, Tameka McLaughlin, of Nashville, was attempting to turn left onto Highway 29 South from West 23rd St (by Heather Manor) just before 5 p.m.Monday when she reportedly failed to yield to southbound traffic.
McLaughlin’s Toyota Camry was struck on the front driver side by a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Wylie Durham of Spring Hill. Durham said he attempted to swerve to avoid the Camry when it pulled out in front of him but still struck it with front passenger side of his Tahoe.
Officers with the Hope Police Department directed vehicles down side roads and through parking lots to try to keep traffic from coming to a complete standstill while the road was blocked.
Pafford EMS transported McLaughlin to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope.
