Ivory “Fox” Nunally

On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, God saw fit to call one of His Angels, Ivory “Fox” Nunally, Sr. to His Heavenly home at the age of 96.

Ivory “Fox” Nunally was the oldest of 10 children born to the late Fred and Maggie Rodgers.  He was born in Tollette, AR on June 20, 1924.

He married Janie Morrison Nunally on January 25, 1953, to this union four children were born, Ivory “Fox” Jr., Robert, Irene, and Marjorie.

Fox was a compassionate hard-working person.  He worked for Tyson Foods for many years until he decided to retire. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many who will forever embrace his memory.  He loved his church family at Haynes Chapel in Hope, AR.  He loved helping people in any way that he could; his laughter and smile lit up any dark room.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maggie Rodgers; four brothers, Johnny, Kelsey, Robert and Pelvin Rodgers and one sister, Bertha Hendrix.

He leaves his legacy to be carried on through two sons, Ivory “Fox” Nunally, Jr. and Robert (Danita) Nunally of Nashville, AR; three daughters, Irene White, Marjorie (Robert) Witherspoon, and Mary Witherspoon of Nashville; two stepsons, Thomas Green and Terry Green of Nashville; two stepdaughters, Ellen Johnson and Mellisa (Steven) Moore of Nashville; a special niece, Sharon Wynn (Mark) Fleming of California; three sisters, Nellie White of Los Angeles, CA, Susie Conley of Little Rock, AR and Betty Davis of Nashville, AR; three brothers, Willie Green of Ozan, James (Vanessa) Green of Ozan and Freddy (Bryna) Green of Mineral Springs, AR; three sisters-in-law, Adell Rodgers, Ethel Rodgers and Emma Jean Rodgers of Little Rock, AR; 26 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 45 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and a special son-in-law, David White of Ashdown, AR.

Visitation will be 11am-5pm, family hour 5-6pm Friday at the funeral home.  Graveside service will be 11am Saturday, August 1 at Crofton Cemetery in Tollette.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
