On Sunday, September 23 at 2 p.m. the Hempstead County Historical Society will provide a bus tour to Redland Township and the community of McCaskill and surrounding area. The tour will visit the north central section of current Hempstead County and explore its history. The Hempstead County Historical Society will be providing a series of bus tours each month to each of the different townships of Hempstead County as part of the celebration of the bicentennial of Hempstead County.
The bus will leave at 2 p.m. from Hope at the parking lot across from BancorpSouth at the intersection of 3rd and Elm Street. The tour will last a little over two hours. Admission price for the tour is $10 per person and will go to support the Historical Society. Reservations are required.
