An Evening of Jazz was held Saturday, August 24th, at President Clinton’s Birthplace Home, for the third year in a row. Opening the evening on the sax was Kenneth Wiley, who is a Prescott, Arkansas native, Schane Scott playing bass, Pierre Vaughn on the drums, and Michael Rhodes on the keyboard.
The second act consisted of New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park whose goal is to enhance the appreciation of Jazz music through performance as well as musical talks and other tools of education.
Last but not least, G-Code, returned this year with upbeat and fun numbers. G-Code concluded the evening with the audience on their feet and clapping their hands. Bottled water was provided for listeners and local food stand, Chuck’s Barbecue, offered ribs and sandwiches to enjoy during the Jazz.
